Description
A native of New Orleans, LA, Jose moved to Denver, where he attended the University of Colorado College of Nursing and earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He continued his education at Regis University in Denver and obtained his Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner. Jose worked on the frontlines as a cardiac nurse during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. He is passionate about patient-centered care. Jose enjoys seeing patients across their lifespans, providing preventive care, and helping keep them out of the hospital.“I believe in helping patients maintain their independence. I believe in a holistic mind-body approach to health because a patient’s overall health depends not only on the physiological but also their emotional, environmental, and spiritual well-being. I want to wholly understand each patient as the individual they are so that we can work together to improve their overall health. I am a compassionate caregiver who will advocate for my patients.”When not seeing patients, Jose enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 children, vacationing and traveling, visiting the zoo, museums, and outdoor parks, and taking in the game of soccer as a fan and coaching his son’s youth soccer team.
