Most people need their teeth cleaned once or twice a year. Teeth cleanings are an essential part of maintaining excellent oral health and maintaining your overall health. There are several steps involved in professional teeth cleaning at our Thornton office.
Regular dental exams are vital to maintaining healthy teeth and gums. During a dental exam, our dental team looks for signs of gum disease, tooth decay, and other oral health conditions. Finding problems early on makes treatment more successful.
Dental sealants are an affordable, effective way to prevent cavities or tooth decay from affecting the teeth. Sealants prevent around 80% of cavities in the back teeth, where the majority of cavities and decay occur.
Periodontic treatment or periodontics is specialty dental care that addresses periodontal (gum) disease and is available at Alpine Dental Center in Thornton.
Unchecked, gum disease can destroy the gums, tissue, and bones that hold your teeth in place. A periodontist is a dentist with extra training to diagnose and treat periodontal disease and perform cosmetic periodontal procedures.
If you have one or more missing teeth, Alpine Dental Center can close those gaps with dental bridges. Dental bridges are natural-looking dental prosthetics that anchor to adjacent teeth.
Just like the cap that covers your toothpaste bottle, a dental crown is a cap that covers your tooth. Typically made of porcelain or metal, dental crowns are placed over teeth to restore tooth function and cosmetic appearance. Here are a few things to know about dental crown procedures.
Several common dental problems can affect your smile, including aesthetic issues such as tooth decay and missing teeth. Other serious problems, including gingivitis and root infections, can lead to tooth loss.
Getting straighter teeth is still a dream for many adults. Though braces are a common treatment used to improve teeth alignment, most adults are reluctant to get braces due to their unappealing look and underlying hassles. With Invisalign, people in Thornton can get straighter teeth without the discomfort of traditional braces.
Cosmetic dental veneers are coverings placed over natural teeth to improve the overall appearance of one’s smile. The thin coverings are most commonly crafted from porcelain and/or composite materials and used to correct minor imperfections such as deep stains, gaps between teeth, and small chips. Veneers are a popular choice among patients looking to brighten their smiles, as they blend in well with the natural teeth, and the procedure is considered minimally invasive.
Innovations in dental technology have positively affected almost all aspects of dental surgery and treatments at Alpine Dental Center in Thornton. Laser dentistry is a minimally invasive, effective, and precise method of treating many dental problems such as cavities and gum diseases.
